In-Person and Online Somatic Psychotherapy
On Coastal Miwok and Southern Pomo land
in Sebastopol, California.
What is Somatic Psychotherapy?
Somatic psychotherapy is mental health treatment that focuses on the body. Healing happens in the here-and-now, and the here-and-now can be accessed through our bodies. Since there’s nowhere for your feelings to happen besides your body, the body is the foundation of your emotional experience and where you begin to heal.
We’ll begin sitting together in Mira’s office in-person or online. These days, Mira is passionate about offering safe, healing touch as a psychotherapeutic modality to folks who are ready and interested in receiving it. Learn more about safe touch in somatic psychotherapy here.

Let’s talk sliding scale:
It’s important to me that folks from a variety of life circumstances can access therapeutic services. With this in mind, I offer my services on a sliding scale.
Sliding scales operate on community trust and accountability. Your commitment to choosing a payment amount that honestly reflects your financial ability allows me to offer discounted rates to folks of lower socioeconomic status, and whose means are limited.
Therapy is valuable.
The numbers listed above are the true cost of my services. Consider paying this amount if you own the home you live in, have paid or pay for private education, travel recreationally, have investments, have inherited wealth, and/or have increased earning privilege due to your race, gender, or education.
Inquire about lower rates on a sliding scale to find a number that would be an investment, but not create hardship for your household. You might choose this option if you have significant debt, little or no access to savings, and could not otherwise afford my services.
